Gulftech Scholarship Program

Scholarship Requirements
Applicants to the Gulftech Scholarship Program must be:
1. Dependent* children, up to the age of 26, of a regular full-time U.S.** employee of Atlas, Brown, Gulfco Manufacturing, Gulftech Food Machinery, Luthi, Magnuson/CCM, Sinclair, or Verdant who have two years of service as of January 1 of the year in which the scholarship is awarded. Total years of service may be cumulative and do not need to be consecutive.
2. High school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year. All students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
3. Applicant must fully and truthfully complete the application process.
4. The application must be completed online. The applications and selection process are confidential.
*Dependent is defined as one who is claimed as an exemption by the employee under IRS regulations (sons and daughters, including adopted children and stepchildren).
**U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required
NOTE: Children of officers, directors and executive level roles are not eligible to apply.
Selection Criteria
Scholarship Management Resources is administering this program for Gulftech. Scholarship recipients will be chosen by a selection committee with consideration for applicant’s academic attainment/potential, leadership and participation in school and community, work experience, career and educational aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and letter of recommendation. Financial need will not be considered.

AWARDS
The authorized distribution for new awards will be $3,000. One new award of $3,000 will be given each year.
Awards are renewable up to three years, or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale in a full-time course of study, continued employment of the student’s parent at one of the participating companies and continuation of the program by Gulftech.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
