Diversity & Inspiration
OFIC is committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity through our fundraising efforts and programs. Through our role as a connector, we work to invite our funding partners, 32-member independent colleges and universities, and students to meet issues head on through the OFIC Diversity Forum and Diversity Grants.
OFIC Diversity Forum
Held yearly since 2006, the OFIC Diversity Forum provides an opportunity for reflections, discussions, and actionable outcomes regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion. OFIC’s campuses, along with representatives from corporate Ohio, are encouraged to attend. During this event, OFIC highlights the Diversity Grants for campuses including recent grant recipients and upcoming grants.
OFIC Diversity Grants - Submissions Now Open!
Launched in 2007, OFIC’s Diversity Grants are designed to support successful existing programs or to launch new initiatives. The grants make it possible for OFIC students, campus leaders, and local community members to engage, enlighten and connect around topics of diversity, inclusion, access, and equity. Campuses apply for consideration and report outcomes at the next Diversity Forum.

OFIC Statement on Racism and Social Injustice
OFIC is a membership organization comprised of 32 independent liberal arts colleges and universities in Ohio. Our core mission is to engage corporations and foundations to primarily support student scholarships for students with financial need.
OFIC stands with our members in condemning the acts of hatred, intolerance and violence that impact our communities and campuses. The realities of the disparities in our society, including structural racism and social injustice, must be addressed. OFIC is committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity through our fundraising efforts and programs. We also stand ready to recognize how we can further develop a culture that builds respect and values differences. Through our role as a connector, we will work to invite our funding partners, campuses, and students to meet issues head on. Together we will create solutions that will advance our communities throughout Ohio for the better.
