OFIC Welcomes Lisa Shapiro to Board of Trustees

The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) is delighted to announce the addition of Lisa Shapiro to its Board of Trustees. Lisa brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the OFIC, further strengthening our mission to support higher education and student success. 

Lisa Shapiro, Vice President, Corporate Controller at Lincoln Electric

Lisa Shapiro is the Vice President, Corporate Controller at Lincoln Electric, the world leader in the engineering, design, and manufacturing of advanced arc welding solutions, automated joining, assembly and cutting systems, plasma and oxy-fuel cutting equipment.  In her role at Lincoln Electric, Lisa oversees global accounting and control functions, financial reporting, tax compliance, and finance shared services.

Lisa joined Lincoln Electric in 2016 as Senior Manager of External Reporting and rapidly advanced to Director of Financial Reporting in 2018. Her extensive financial and change management experience has been instrumental in advancing Lincoln Electric’s Higher Standard 2025 strategic initiatives.

Prior to her tenure at Lincoln Electric, Lisa held various positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from the State University of New York at Buffalo and is a Certified Public Accountant. 

As a new corporate trustee of OFIC, Lisa is committed to connecting students across 32 member campuses with Ohio’s top corporations and foundations.
