Does CareerFest work?

Hey OFIC CareerFest!

I wanted to thank you for having CareerFest and give you an update on what it’s done for me.

In the winter of my senior year at Capital University, I began looking into full-time opportunities in marketing. I’m from Northeast Ohio but really wanted to remain in Columbus after I graduated. 

I signed up for CareerFest in hopes of connecting with potential employers in Columbus. I researched each of the companies in the guidebook that I thought would be a good match for me. At the event I met my current manager and ultimately was offered and accepted a position at ICC because of the great opportunity I received at CareerFest.  

My time at ICC has been incredible! I started as a recruiting assistant and was recently promoted to a Technical Recruiter. I attended this year’s CareerFest on behalf of ICC because I wanted to help students and grads find their next job. None of this would have been possible had it not been for CareerFest which provided me the opportunity to connect with employers and get established in Columbus with a great job and career.
