Meet Sister Christine De Vinne - OFIC Trustee Spotlight
Sister Christine De Vinne is the President of Ursuline College and serves on The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) Board of Trustees.
Sister Christine grew up in Cleveland and is an alumna of Ursuline College. She received her undergraduate degree in mathematics, and after teaching for some time, decided to pursue a graduate degree in English at The Ohio State University.
In 2015, Sister Christine became the President of Ursuline College where she wears a variety of hats, including co-teaching English seminars.
When asked what unique skills and advantages liberal arts universities bring to the table, Sister Christine commented on the social interactions between students in different majors and teaching individuals to be more evidence-based.
“All of OFIC‘s member campuses are intent on providing the training, the education and the skills students need to enter the workforce and be valuable members of their profession,” she said.
A fun fact about Sister Christine is since the Covid-19 pandemic, she has been vigilant in completing 10,000 steps a day!
