Nominate Your Campus for the
2024 OFIC Inspiration Awards
The OFIC Inspiration Awards is a new annual recognition of the people and programs that celebrate diversity and embrace all the ways our member campuses and communities can encourage our unique abilities and experiences for the greater good. The first awards were presented at the 2023 OFIC Diversity Forum on October 17, 2023.
Nomination Guidelines
Who may submit?
OFIC member colleges and universities and OFIC staff and Board of Trustees may submit nominations.
Self-nominations by member campuses are encouraged
Nominators are highly encouraged to attend the 2024 OFIC Diversity Forum but not required to attend
Who/what may be nominated?
Nominations should summarize programs, people, or activities that were active during the 2022-23 or 2023-24 academic years. Consideration will be given to programs this current semester if there are measurable outcomes.
If nominations are not selected this year, they will be kept on file for consideration for the next two academic years.
If the nominator is not available at any given time after submitting the application, OFIC will ask for a new representative to receive communications and follow up.
Campuses that received Diversity Grants from OFIC may submit nominations for the programs that were funded for consideration.
What topics or area of focus qualify for nominations?
Diversity-related programs, academic instruction, campus life, career/vocation preparation, community relations, presentations (art, music, speakers, workshops), and mental wellness efforts are examples of focus areas.
What is required for the nomination?
Complete the application on the following page and return it to Tacarra Davis, davis@ofic.org
How will the awards be promoted and featured?
OFIC will publicly present awards at the OFIC 2024 Diversity Forum and then also highlight the recipients, with consent, through our marketing channels.
