Job Title: Scholarship Support Coordinator

Position Summary

The Scholarship Support Coordinator is responsible for job functions related to the OFIC scholarship administration program, including scholarship application review, candidate selection, award eligibility validation, website and application edits, and support for the scholarship team including but not limited to answering student and campus inquiries. This position requires organizing and managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Position is part-time 30 hours/week, Monday through Friday, and reports to the Director, Scholarship Services.

Responsibility

  1. Scholarship application review and assessment.  This position will be a key contributor to the internal OFIC Scholarship Committee. Scholarship applications will be scored and rated for most OFIC scholarship programs.

  2. Confirming and assigning awards based on eligibility for application and non-application based scholarships.

  3. Support for incoming student and campus inquiries via phone and email; role will share the responsibility of fielding questions on the phone and through incoming emails.

  4. Monitoring scholarship programs for adequate incoming applications and initiating action, working with the director, when needed to address low application numbers.

  5. Working in coordination with scholarship team to accomplish tasks including: using Salesforce database to enter and track scholar updates, sending notifications to scholarship applicants, mailing checks and preparing scholarship directive letters for campuses, and promoting scholarships.

  6. Assist in the scholarship application onboarding process, customizing program landing pages, and scholarship applications.

  7. Work cooperatively and responsively with OFIC staff, trustees, and member campuses to carry out tasks required to accomplish the overall priorities of the organization.

  8. Maintain confidentiality relative to staff, college/university, and donor information.

  9. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (may be substituted by relevant experience)

  • Minimum two years prior administrative experience, preferably in a campus, financial aid, and/or student services environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Squarespace are preferred

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team

  • Sense of humor and excellent interpersonal skills
